Always lock your vehicle!
Every year we have numerous larcenies from vehicles that were left unlocked. It is quite rare for people to break into the vehicles that are locked. By locking your vehicle you greatly decrease your chances of being stolen from.
Register your bicycle with the Sandusky Police Department!
Each year there are numerous bicycles that are found abandoned in Sandusky. We have a form that you can fill out to register your bicycle with the Sandusky Police Department. This information is then added to our database of bicycles. Now when we find a bike we can search the database and return it to the proper owner. This information is also helpful in case your bicycle ever gets stolen. We will already have all of the information on your bicycle. It is also a good idea to write down the serial number, the make, and the model of your bicycle and keep it in a safe place at home.
Curfew for minors!
Curfew for minors under 12 years old shall not be out between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day of the week unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Curfew for minors 12 years old through 16 years old shall not be out between the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, or between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Do not give out your Social Security Number to people over the phone or internet!
It is not a good idea to give out such personal information about yourself to anyone. If this information gets in the wrong hands the possibilities are endless.
